Many national and international policies are oriented to tackle child deprivation and poverty issues. This is to ensure children’s development and protection. However, it is seldom that these policies have high enough priority on the policy agenda or are often neglected and overlooked. Ideally public policy should promote integrated and holistic policies that address the multidimensional needs of children, women and families.
