Summary:
This presentation looks at the wide ranging implications of targetting women and children during times of economic crisis. The author demonstrates that policies to address their disproportionate vulnerabilities are crucial for life, intergenerational and society wide implications. The nature, scale and duration of crisis will determine the policies and relevant interventions. Ms. Harper concludes that policy can effectively address economic crises consequences on vulnerable children and women, although there are constraints.
