This discussion paper was written by Mahesh Patel, Jill Lawler, Qimti Paienjton, Sirinrath Tesvisarn and Samman Thapa to inform and stimulate discussion for the 4-6 November 2010 High-Level Meeting on Cooperation for Child Rights in the Asia-Pacific region. The paper focuses on examining left behind groups, provides a systematic analysis of disparities affecting those groups and provides examples of solutions used specifically by governments in Asia and the Pacific region.
