We hope to build upon the momentum created at this launch and to expand our network of practitioners, students and academics devoted to promoting childrens rights world wide. Also this past month, Nov. 20th marked the 20th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the launch of UNICEF's 'State of the World's Children 2009.' Recognizing the need to prioritize the health, education and wellbeing of children and adolescents by communities and policymakers alike, we will focus our efforts in the coming months to highlight work by researchers and practitioners investing in adolescent girls.
