Syllabus for Graduate Course on Child Rights and Poverty in International Development

In the Fall of 2008, Professor Alberto Minujin taught a course on Child Rights and Poverty in International Development, as part of the Graduate Program in International Affairs at the New School.

The objective was to analyze and discuss the situation of children and adolescents in the developed and developing world, the historical development of social policy and different programmatic approaches being implemented around the world. Human Rights and the Convention on the Rights of the Child were discussed and used as paradigm and benchmark for analyzing programs. Download the complete syllabus by clicking below.
