The Majority of Children Living in Poverty Have Atleast One Parent in Work, Says Study |

According to an article on February 8, 2009 in the Guardian UK, there has been a sharp increase in the number of children living in poverty who have atleast one parent that is employed:
"When research was last conducted 5 years ago, the majority of children in poverty had parents who were unemployed. "
The study, published by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, runs counter to the governmental messages, stating that work is the best route out of poverty.
